All right kids, sit around this [imaginary] fire and let me tell you a story of long, long ago… 👴👵
Before Bobst got its fugly carpet, there was a time when Gould Plaza was the prettiest sight in New York City; you could walk up the beautiful stairs of Kimmel, there was never a line at Peet’s, and – believe it or not – Cluckstein was still Chick-fil-A. Of course, this was eons ago – Jamie hadn’t even been born yet!
Palladium brunches and photoshopping Daily Screeners was all the rage back then, what a beautiful time to be alive. We didn’t know the luxuries of the Paulson Gym or Matto @ Sosnoff – we were a simple people.
But don’t take it from me, for tomorrow at 12:30PM (in Tisch Hall, UC-25) some ULABA Alumni shall return, with their stories and wisdom… there’s so much to learn. Come for the knowledge, stay for the feast, the ghosts of ULABA’s past have been released!
Professional Development
For generations, students of ULABA have been securing internships left, right, up, and down. You should not… and will not… be the exception. Thankfully, you have Bates and Jorge to help! Goooo crazy!

Find our world-class Internship Database below! I read this the other day in a very reputable journal (a.k.a. saw it on TikTok) and thought I would mention it – apply to jobs that (1) would make you happy, (2) pay well, (3) fit your educational background and your innate abilities and talents, and (4) will continue to be relevant in the future! I know those are high standards (a novel concept for some of you, I know) but I think they’re a great way to prioritize your job search – put in all of your efforts towards those top positions.
Reminder – Mentorship Program 2.0
The ULABA Mentorship Program is up and running again! We have some important details we need to share, so listen up!
If you are an ULABA Mentee, you are required to submit this form again (if you haven’t already). Make sure to note whether or not you’d like to stay with your old mentor or change it up… no hard feelings!
If you are a Freshman or Sophomore who did not participate in the ULABA Mentorship Program last semester, you are able to join now! Make sure to submit this form as soon as possible so we can match you with a mentor!

Thursday Meeting
As I mentioned, we’ve invited very special guests to come talk to us about their experiences after graduating from NYU (and leaving ULABA… 😢). We’re lucky to have some alumni come to share their wisdom, so make sure to show up! Not only is this an excellent way to become more aware of what life after graduation looks like, it’s also a GREAT networking opportunity!
