I know you all missed having this lovely, funny, and dare I say slightly sexy newsletter pop up in your inbox at 11:00 AM on a Wednesday. But don’t worry, I missed writing it too.

Especially because we saw SO many new faces last Thursday!! If you’re new here, welcome, you’ve officially entered the world of ULABA. If you’re not new, well… consider yourself an OG (we love u 😊).

Last week’s turnout was actually insane, and we loved seeing so many of you there. Please keep bringing your beautiful faces to our meetings because trust me, we have some VERY exciting things planned for you this semester.

Thursday Meeting

Lets not beat around the bush, recruiting season is upon us, which unfortunately means it’s time to lock in. 🔒️ 

This Thursday, you’re getting what I like to call the full five-star salon makeover 💅 … except instead of your hair, we’re fixing your professional life. Tomorrow we’re getting you application-ready: fixing up your resume, making your LinkedIn actually look good, taking new LinkedIn headshots (because yes, that picture from three years ago needs to go), and going over everything else you need to start putting yourself out there.

Bring your laptop, bring your resume, and bring whatever LinkedIn profile you currently have (yes that crappy high school picture must go). We’ll help you work on everything there so you can leave ready to apply, network, and hopefully secure that bag. 👜 

Freshman Liaison Announcement 🚨

As we mentioned at our last meeting, Freshman Liaison applications are opening VERY soon!! 👀

If you want to join our E-Board, represent your freshman class, and basically be the bridge between your class and ULABA, this is your chance. You’ll get to actually be part of the team, bring your class’s ideas to the table, and help us make ULABA even better.

Applications officially open tomorrow, and we’ll be talking a little more about the role at tomorrow’s meeting, so if you’re even slightly interested, SHOW UP and come hear about it!!

Miscellaneous

In collaboration with BRASA at NYU, we’re bringing IGC Partners, one of Latin America’s leading M&A firms, to campus on October 13th.

And they’re not just coming to give a presentation, they want to meet 1:1 with students and mentor them. This is your chance to sit down personally with someone from the firm, ask questions, get advice, and learn directly from people actually working in M&A. If finance, investment banking, or M&A is on your radar, take advantage of this!!

Applications close September 18th, so don’t sleep on it 👀

Guess the Parents

And now get those baby antennas up and ready, because it’s time to GUESS THE ULABA PARENTS!! 👶🍼

Ugh, I always get the WORST baby fever doing these and now as I’m writing this at 2 AM on a Tuesday night I want 30 fat little babies around me. (and yes, only fat babies are allowed in my household)

The first person to DM @eliascohenn on Instagram the correct names of the two parents will win the prize of skipping the line and eating first at the next meeting. Wouldn’t skip it if I were you.. (Last week’s baby was Barbara’s and Santiago G’s.. guessed by the mommy herself! Barbara!)
